My Answer Found

Sometimes it is hard to understand,
The pain and the beauty you've planned.

The storm and the test,
How I'm tried and then blest.

Sometimes it's hard to be strong,
As I struggle to fit in and belong.

Variance stabs like a knife,
As I view the inequality of life.

One child deprived and unsure,
The other blessed with so much more.

The question of why in my mind,
Christ's sacrifice is the answer I find.

In thee every burden is known,
You carry me, I'm not alone.

If I am humble and seek thy way,
You will sustain me every day.

A promise so long ago was given,
As I left my home in heaven.

I would find you then follow and obey.
I would trust in my life and way,

I would not let pride darken me,
I would believe in the joy that can be.

I would repent and come to my place.
I would live through thy mercy and grace,

O Father as I endure,
I pray I will see more.

For all are alike unto you,
Each soul can be made new.

Every blessing will surely be given,
If we keep the promise we made in heaven.

The most sacred variance of all,
Is the one who heeded your call.

Perfect, pure and unspotted,
Through him our transgressions are blotted.

He even Christ is my way,
I will see him and follow him today!

A song of peace in my mind,
Thy Son is the answer I find!

Hosanna to God and the Lamb,
I believe in my Father and your plan!

Mosiah 3:1-12
1 And again my brethren, I would call your attention, for I have somewhat more to speak unto you; for behold, I have things to tell you concerning that which is to come.

2 And the things which I shall tell you are made known unto me by an angel from God. And he said unto me: Awake; and I awoke, and behold he stood before me.

3 And he said unto me: Awake, and hear the words which I shall tell thee; for behold, I am come to declare unto you the glad tidings of great joy.

4 For the Lord hath heard thy prayers, and hath judged of thy righteousness, and hath sent me to declare unto thee that thou mayest rejoice; and that thou mayest declare unto thy people, that they may also be filled with joy.

5 For behold, the time cometh, and is not far distant, that with power, the Lord Omnipotent who reigneth, who was, and is from all eternity to all eternity, shall come down from heaven among the children of men, and shall dwell in a tabernacle of clay, and shall go forth amongst men, working mighty miracles, such as healing the sick, raising the dead, causing the lame to walk, the blind to receive their sight, and the deaf to hear, and curing all manner of diseases.

6 And he shall cast out devils, or the evil spirits which dwell in the hearts of the children of men.

7 And lo, he shall suffer temptations, and pain of body, hunger, thirst, and fatigue, even more than man can suffer, except it be unto death; for behold, blood cometh from every pore, so great shall be his anguish for the wickedness and the abominations of his people.

8 And he shall be called Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things from the beginning; and his mother shall be called Mary.

9 And lo, he cometh unto his own, that salvation might come unto the children of men even through faith on his name; and even after all this they shall consider him a man, and say that he hath a devil, and shall scourge him, and shall crucify him.

10 And he shall arise the third day from the dead; and behold, he standeth to judge the world; and behold, all these things are done that a righteous judgment might come upon the children of men.

11 For behold, and also his blood atoneth for the sins of those who have fallen by the transgression of Adam, who have died not knowing the will of God concerning them, or who have ignorantly sinned.

12 But wo, wo unto him who knoweth that he rebelleth against God! For salvation cometh to none such except it be through repentance and faith on the Lord Jesus Christ.

Every Time

Every other thought follows the thought of loving you,
You live in my desire to be faithful and true.
Every time I question and do not understand,
I trust in my perfect Father and your perfect plan.

Every time I struggle beneath weakness and sin,
I feel my heart return to you and I refuse to give in.
Every time I cry out in my aching need for light,
I feel the grace of my beloved King burning ever bright.

Every time I choose to live by thy word,
I dream and see the beauty of my beloved Lord.
Every time I ponder one answer precedes all,
My love is for my Father and I will heed your call.

Every time I think of returning home I see,
You standing with love holding clean raiment for me.
Every time I yearn for rest and love,
I see the God of Israel who rules above!

"Behold, my soul delighteth in the things of the Lord; and my heart pondereth continually upon the things which I have seen and heard. Nevertheless, notwithstanding the great goodness of the Lord, in showing me his great and marvelous works, my heart exclaimeth: O wretched man that I am! Yea, my heart sorroweth because of my flesh; my soul grieveth because of mine iniquities. I am encompassed about, because of the temptations and the sins which do so easily beset me. And when I desire to rejoice, my heart groaneth because of my sins; nevertheless, I know in whom I have trusted. My God hath been my support; he hath led me through mine afflictions in the wilderness; and he hath preserved me upon the waters of the great deep." 2 Nephi 4:16-20

"Awake, my soul! No longer droop in sin. Rejoice, O my heart, and give place no more for the enemy of my soul.Do not anger again because of mine enemies. Do not slacken my strength because of mine afflictions. Rejoice, O my heart, and cry unto the Lord, and say: O Lord, I will praise thee forever; yea, my soul will rejoice in thee, my God, and the rock of my salvation. O Lord, wilt thou redeem my soul? Wilt thou deliver me out of the hands of mine enemies? Wilt thou make me that I may shake at the appearance of sin? May the gates of hell be shut continually before me, because that my heart is broken and my spirit is contrite! O Lord, wilt thou not shut the gates of thy righteousness before me, that I may walk in the path of the low valley, that I may be strict in the plain road! O Lord, wilt thou encircle me around in the robe of thy righteousness! O Lord, wilt thou make a way for mine escape before mine enemies! Wilt thou make my path straight before me! Wilt thou not place a stumbling block in my way—but that thou wouldst clear my way before me, and hedge not up my way, but the ways of mine enemy. O Lord, I have trusted in thee, and I will trust in thee forever. I will not put my trust in the arm of flesh; for I know that cursed is he that putteth his trust in the arm of flesh. Yea, cursed is he that putteth his trust in man or maketh flesh his arm. Yea, I know that God will give liberally to him that asketh. Yea, my God will give me, if I ask not amiss; therefore I will lift up my voice unto thee; yea, I will cry unto thee, my God, the rock of my righteousness. Behold, my voice shall forever ascend up unto thee, my rock and mine everlasting God. Amen."

Leading Me

Leading me to love, thy word my way,
My strength found in all you say.

Leading me past darts and mists that blind,
My safety is thy truth within my mind.

Leading me with mercy to joy and peace,
Through your word and spirit I increase.

Leading me past the weakness of fear and pride,
I walk but not alone for angels are by my side.

Leading me to love others as you love me,
My Lord you change my heart and all I see.

You are leading me to Zion and a holier way,
Though I'm weak you are strong and your leading me today.

Leading me past confusion and a world so dark,
My eyes upon your vision I see the mark.

You are leading me to my family, I won't let go.
My Lord thy tree is the peace I cherish and know.

So lead me Lord, I will hold fast to thy pure light,
As your child with faith I will do what's right.

You are leading me to love this very day,
My Atoning Savior, you are the way!

All I am and ever will be is thy loving grace,
My Lord I trust you will bring me to my home and place.

So lead me Lord and I will follow with all my heart,
And I'll sing my song with joy as I do my part.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, I can see the way,
For you are leading me and with joy I follow this day!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, I praise my Lord,
I am led and delivered by thy pure word!

1 Nephi 11:25, 30

25 And it came to pass that I beheld that the rod of iron, which my father had seen, was the word of God, which led to the fountain of living waters, or to the tree of life; which waters are a representation of the love of God; and I also beheld that the tree of life was a representation of the love of God

30 And it came to pass that the angel spake unto me again, saying: Look! And I looked, and I beheld the heavens open again, and I saw angels descending upon the children of men; and they did minister unto them

O Child Of Christ

When you yearn for rest and peace more than life itself,
When an end to your test is more than all wealth.
When your heart can't find the answers and you are low,
When you cry out for relief refusing to let go.

O tired soul, O wounded heart,
O broken child, God will impart.

Turn not from the hope of grace divine,
A moment and then all eternity will shine.
Let not your soul give way to deep despair,
Cast upon you Savior your every care.

Why you cry? Why? Was there no other way?
Your vision blurred by tears as you struggle each day.
Bitterness and anger as darts strike at you,
Still in humility you plead for life anew.

O tired soul, O wounded heart,
O broken child, God will impart.

Though the waves surround you, look toward the shore,
Though death and hell reach for you God will give you more.
Your vision toward the lighthouse hold fast and go,
Knowing as you struggle God will not let go.

O valiant soul, O faithful heart,
God will heal and lovingly impart.

Quiet peace now as you finish your test,
You step by God's grace to peaceful rest.
In the bosom of your Father is peace divine,
Christ with mercy speaks, My child you are mine.

O Child of Christ, O ransomed one,
At last you have found peace through God's beloved Son.

2 Corinthians 1:8-10
"For we would not, brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life: but we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead: Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;"

Me and You

I remember, how can I forget?
I love you still, without regret.

Truth is eternal, you are this to me,
Every time I search my heart it's you I see.

I remember every song, every touch,
I never thought I could love so much.

I remember my soul turning toward life,
What is love? It is my answer, I am your wife.

I remember my cry as I looked to see,
The God of Israel suffer for me.

Truth is eternal, he is this to me,
Every time I search my heart it's him I see.

I remember his teachings and see the way,
He calls me and I answer I will obey.

I remember the miracle of the seed sown,
Now I stand the tree that love has grown.

What is love? It is my heart made new,
A picture holding the truth of me and you.

Answering as Sarah

Why did she do it, why did she offer all?
Why did she surrender and heed the Masters call?
Why was her heart soft and open to light,
Why did choose to do what is right?
It is love that spoke to her, it love that answered well,
It is love that sought a way to overcome death and hell.
It is love that called her to leave this world behind,
It is love that led her to be devoted and kind.
What can I do with love, what can I become?
What miracle will be given as I overcome?
What limit is there to my progress, what place will I see?
What is waiting on the other side of the choice in me?
I see eternity in my answer, the Tree of Life shining bright,
I see the truth of God's love and His eternal light.
I see peace beyond compare, I see Christs atoning love,
I see the joy of the Saints who follow God above.
How then shall I answer; even as Sarah of old,
My heart yielded and true, a sheep within Gods fold!
Love defining my way, love bringing me to heaven,
My answer is to share with joy the gift that I was given.

Doctrine and Covenants 132:34

"God commanded Abraham, and Sarah gave Hagar to Abraham to wife. And why did she do it? Because this was the law; and from Hagar sprang many people. This, therefore, was fulfilling, among other things, the promises."

Doctrine and Covenants 132:4-5

"For behold, I reveal unto you a new and an everlasting covenant; and if ye abide not that covenant, then are ye damned; for no one can reject this covenant and be permitted to enter into my glory. For all who will have a blessing at my hands shall abide the law which was appointed for that blessing, and the conditions thereof, as were instituted from before the foundation of the world."

Love & Love

Zeroing in on love brings life and light to me,
When I forget myself and serve, it is then that I see.

When commandment one and two stay at the forefront of my mind,
My heart stays soft and I stay kind.

My focus on love of God and love for his family,
Keeps me on the path that's leads to his tree.

Every other choice must follow one and two,
For only love will lead me to do as I should do.

Matthew 22:37-40
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets."

I Grow

I grow as I obey,
I'm nourished as I feast upon Christ’s words every day.
I grow as I love,
All I send out is returned by my Father above.
I grow as I forgive,
My peace is the mercy I extend as I live.
I grow as I repent,
As I seek for forgiveness God's grace is sent.
I grow as I hold fast,
As I keep my covenants I find joy that will last.
I grow by grace,
The power of God is the truth of my place.
I grow and I rejoice,
Once more with love I raise my voice!
Thank you for sustaining this tiny tree,
My life is the miracle you purchased for me!

1 Corinthians 15:9-10 "For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me."

1 Corinthians 6:19-20 "What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s."

The Truth

The truth I put on as my armor in the fight,
One more time I raise the banner, I will do what is right.
The truth once more defeating the darts of my fleeing foe,
One more time with determination I cherish what you know.
The truth of God is life, there is no other way,
So one more time I put on holy armor and lovingly obey!

Withholding Nothing

When I awaken to see I was lost and found,
May I stand with you on sacred ground.
Like Alma alive and new,
May I give my life to you.
When you ask hard things and truth holds a price,
May I be willing to obey and sacrifice.
Like Emma withholding nothing from you,
May I receive thy will then go and do.
When wounded and betrayed by those I hold dear,
May I forgive and love with a heart sincere.
May I as Joseph extend my hand,
And with mercy keep thy command.
When the seas surround me and I can’t I pull through,
May I reach with faith and believe in you.
Like Jared on the sea,
May your light be with me.
When the crowd cries out wanting me to go,
May I cling with faith to the truth I know.
Like Samuel on the wall,
May I heed thy call.
When two paths are before me one easy and one right,
May I search my soul and choose heavens light.
May I as Ruth not turn away,
But stay with love another day.

"And I command mine handmaid, Emma Smith, to abide and cleave unto my servant Joseph, and to none else. But if she will not abide this commandment she shall be destroyed, saith the Lord; for I am the Lord thy God, and will destroy her if she abide not in my law. But if she will not abide this commandment, then shall my servant Joseph do all things for her, even as he hath said; and I will bless him and multiply him and give unto him an hundred-fold in this world, of fathers and mothers, brothers and sisters, houses and lands, wives and children, and crowns of eternal lives in the eternal worlds. And again, verily I say, let mine handmaid forgive my servant Joseph his trespasses; and then shall she be forgiven her trespasses, wherein she has trespassed against me; and I, the Lord thy God, will bless her, and multiply her, and make her heart to rejoice."

"Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away? Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God." John 6:67-69

"And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God." Ruth 1:16

Bumpy Roads

Bumpy roads and mountains have brought me to you,
Loving you has been a whole lot of go and do.

But anything worth keeping requires a test divine,
I'll be relieved and grateful when at last I call you mine.

I would do it all again for truth is worth the fight,
It was a blessing and miracle to see my life put right.

True love I now understand brings us higher and higher,
Though sometimes it feels like walking on a shaky high wire.

The greater picture known but not seen is God above,
Holding me and guiding me toward my true love.

Acceptance of you is a class I took and took,
You were way more than I thought upon first look.

Eyebrow scrunching moments and a whole lot of you,
Has left me nearly bald, devoted, tired and true.

Cost is always present, the question will you pay?
I guess we're here to answer one more time today,

Uphill through the snow, downhill through the rain,
Rocks, thorns and lots of lessons, yes I will remain!

My Treasure

Where your treasure is there your heart will be,
The proof of Mickey is the friend God sent to me.
Penguins, dogs, sharks and of course scriptures to,
My love there is lots to see when I see me and you.
Photos that remind me that faith brings a reward,
Hats and poems of faith for my beloved Lord.
Words of hope for you and everyone to see,
My treasure is the miracle of becoming new and free!
I'll keep my heart on lock down until you come once more,
And find me with my treasure safe upon God's shore.

A Prayer Away

What may seem impossible is only a prayer away,
What you haven't reached before, you might reach today.
The dream that others spurn may yet become your place,
What you cannot find alone you can find by grace.
The darkness around you may yet turn to light,
Though you got it all wrong, you can repent and get it right.
Though the miles seem far, God will make a way,
You haven't failed as long as you stand and try today.

Build With God Today

Careful who you love child, careful what you choose,
Here in this moment is all you win or lose.
Careful what you do child, careful what you say,
Eternity is decided by what you do today.

Let meekness and love propel you toward celestial light,
Let reverence and gratitude lead you to what is right.
Let temperance be in every emotion you feel,
Let the Holy Spirit lead you to joy that is real.

Build with faith and repentance through the atoning One,
Build a way to heaven and God's eternal throne.
Build within your broken heart a higher holier way,
Build through love and obedience! Build with God today!

"And it is requisite with the justice of God that men should be judged according to their works; and if their works were good in this life, and the desires of their hearts were good, that they should also, at the last day, be restored unto that which is good. And if their works are evil they shall be restored unto them for evil. Therefore, all things shall be restored to their proper order, every thing to its natural frame—mortality raised to immortality, corruption to incorruption—raised to endless happiness to inherit the kingdom of God, or to endless misery to inherit the kingdom of the devil, the one on one hand, the other on the other." Alma 41:3-4

The Armor of God

The truth of the armor we put on is the light we take in,
As we cling to God's words we overcome the temptation to sin.
Weak or strong, full armor or none,
Our strength is what we choose to put on.

The miracle of God's love is the moment we try,
He aids us and helps us that we may not die.
Sincere repentance brings a transformation of power,
We walk not alone but aided each hour.

A warrior is raised as she kneels to cry,
My Lord I need you please bless as I try.
Meekness shining, humility seen,
A soft heart the beginning of a celestial queen.

So whatever your state, whether weak or strong,
Begin today for you do belong!
No sin or sorrow can block your path,
For Jesus has swallowed death and wrath.

Seek for the light and soon you will find,
Your armor is strong, for God is merciful and kind.
By his grace you will overcome your foe,
Because the power you wear is the truth you know!

“And if men come unto me I will show unto them their aweakness. Raising Me

God raises me to greatness, he brings me relief,
With mercy he guides me and nurtures my belief.
God is all around me, his power is my way,
He sustains my living breath every day.

He is my life and way, he is my everything.
God is fighting for me as I endure,
With perfect love and mercy, he is bringing me to more.

Jesus Christ

The Son of the Living God, the Redeemer and Savior of the human race,
His life and great atoning sacrifice bring the power of grace.

Chosen and anointed by his Father before this world was,
He has assured our eternal progression, by upholding his Father's cause.

By the power of his word the earth came to be,
He sustains the habitation that is home to you and me.

The powers of rank and Godship rested upon him at birth,
Not merely a human child but our God of infinite worth.

The effects of sin have estranged us from our Eternal Father above,
Only Christ can reconcile us through his atoning love.

Without our beloved Redeemer we would become as our enemy,
Bound by death and hell we would know endless misery.

O the wisdom of God! His mercy and his grace!
We escape the grasp of hell and through Christ attain our place!

Christ possessed the power to withstand death indefinitely,
But with love and deep devotion he died to set us free.

The shackles of death to bind every child born,
Our Savior rose in triumph and ensured our safe return.

Through him we are made worthy to stand with our eternal Father,
Cleansed and healed by our Redeemer and eldest brother!

With reverence we speak praises to our Heavenly King,
We rejoice in his victory and the glory he doth bring!

Hosanna, Hosanna to the Holy One we say,
O Lord we will ever walk in thy appointed way!

Though art our life, our way, our song, our all,
O King of Kings our Lord, you have saved us from our fall!

Written by Mickey

“The solemn testimonies of millions dead and of millions living unite in proclaiming Him as divine, the Son of the Living God, the Redeemer and Savior of the human race, the Eternal Judge of the souls of men, the Chosen and Anointed of the Father—in short, the Christ.”

Changing Eternity

Can one person change eternity?
Yes they can, just look at me!

I struggled free from heavy chains,
I left behind sins awful stains.

I buried pride and reached for you,
I viewed with faith our love so true.

God sent a valiant warrior of light,
To help me change and make things right.

I couldn’t have done it on my own,
Together my love, we have grown.

The truth of all that we now see,
Was found as you reached out to me.

A labor worthy, your efforts sent,
How sweet your purpose and intent.

Awakening me to my Heavenly King,
Listen now as I sing.

The praises of a better day,
The joy of my only way.

The light of love that came for me,
My love, my friend we are free!

Together now hand in hand,
In purest white we will stand!

Not the Grinch who stole Christmas; you're the prince who saved me,
Not the man who would bind, you set me free.
Not cold and indifferent, you touch my heart,
Not unworthy and weak, the better part.
Not cruelly intended, but given with care,
Not unbalanced, you send a portion fair.
Not far from me, for I feel your power,
Not without love, you're my heavenly shower!

A Penny

A penny from my heart I will hand to you,
A penny from my soul, I know our love is true.
A quarter from the store of all you placed in me,
A piece of silver treasured for all that soon will be.
A dime I will hold up and smile as I know,
The power of a promise, yes our love can grow.
Looking within me, I hear a jingly song,
Hold on Michelene, soon you will belong.

Sweet and tender I share with you,
The gift I found, the love I knew.

Love’s Face

In the face of strangers I see you,
In the face of many, a love true.
I look with need and find you there,
In the face of a stranger your loving care.

A face that shows the weight of pain,
A face that shows burdens strain.
A face revealing your happiness too,
A face that shows her next to you.

A face of waiting, concern and care,
A face of love, a need to share.
A face that pleads for me to see,
A face that shows you think of me.

In the face of strangers I see you,
My love I know you’re true.
Please look at me and know I care,
My face for you, says I will share.

My face impatient checks the time,
My face so desperate to call you mine.
My face so grateful looks above,
My face in gratitude smiles with love.

Love forgives with pure intent,
Love sees more than what is sent.
Love looks past pain and sees grace,
Love holds to faith and keeps its place.
Love isn’t vengeful, but mends the tear,
Love is willing to give and share.
Love endures and overcomes each test,
Love helps us each to do our best!

A Time

A time to love and build a life,
A time to dance and be your wife.
A time to smile and pull you near,
A time to put away all fear.
A time to explore and have fun,
A time to enjoy all we have won!
A time my love for us to know,
The tiny seed we chose to grow!

Patience is a virtue, the angels sing to me,
In time you will feel all that you see.
Patience is the answer when you feel tied,
Look up and smile, enjoy the ride.
Patience is the whisper I hear in my heart,
Soon you and I will truly start.
Patience is my only way to true love,
Just call me patient when you see me above!

Multiple Eternities

Multiple eternities held by one,
Multiple families saved by God's Son.
Multiple paths each one divine,
Multiple chances for men to shine.

Multiple love stories held with care,
Multiple chances to give and share.
Multiple smiles and laughter known,
Multiple beauty sweetly grown.

Multiple views of our dear King,
Multiple reasons to smile and sing.
Many voices join as one,
And praise with joy, God's dear Son.

Thank you Jesus for bringing us here,
Because of you we sing with cheer.
Glorious Savior we live in thee,
Your sacrifice has set us free.

Hosanna, Hosanna our life is new,
Hosanna, hosanna we sing to you!.

Against my Bosom

Pressed against my bosom is the love I hold,
A treasure more precious than silver or gold.

The love of my Father through Christ is given,
Here against my heart I hold the treasures of heaven.

Pressed against my bosom no thief shall steal,
The truth I know and the love I feel.

This is life eternal to know the One true God,
Here against my bosom I hold fast the iron rod!

John 17:3 "And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent."

Stamp it, mark it, seal it with the word yes,
My answer is the pattern printed on my dress!
D&C 132 just got another determined nod,
Mickey is still holding fast to God's iron rod.
No one twisted my arm, this is my will,
Yes! Yes! Yes! Our love is pure and real!
