Today is the four year anniversary of Miranda's passing. I feel more hope and clarity now than I ever have. From the moment Miranda began to suffer from her Leukemia I began to suffer with a storm that unraveled my life and left me with the choice of love or self-pity. President Uchtdorf's talk, Grateful Under any Circumstances became very real to my heart. Pushing the bottle of bitterness aside is a choice I have repeated often. As I have done this I have been able to continue in Christ and drink from the goblet of gratitude. To me choosing love is choosing gratitude. As we love God we overcome the temptation of self-pity, doubt and fear. Love for God enables us to gain access to all of the power He wants to grant us. I rejoice in my Savior who gave me the chance to rewrite my life through His great atoning sacrifice. He is my life and my salvation! I know I will live again and that I will be reunited with Miranda! There is so much joy ahead of me because of Jesus Christ. Truly those who have eyes to see will understand. I testify that new beginnings are beautiful and real. We can truly lose our life and build a new and better one with Christ! I thank my dear Heavenly Parents for the divine gift of their matchless Son! He is my everything! He is my very life!

My Brightest Day

I lost you and found you again,
I love you more now than I did then.
I lost you but came to see,
That you are still here with me.

I lost my life and built a way,
I lost the pain and chose to stay.
I lost my sorrow and found relief,
I chose to nurture my belief.

I lost my old life this is true,
But I am still bound to you.
For God has sealed another way,
A new beginning, my brightest day!

You and Me

I'm not less or more than you,
Through Christ we are made new.
I'm not diminished by your place,
We are both raised by His grace.

All variance is lost and I see,
The Savior with you and me.
To be equal is to understand,
The joy that God has planned.

The Saints are alive and free,
This is the truth I see!
All sorrow is lost in love,
We are healed by God above.

His grace and holiness,
Bring peace from all distress.
No trial is ours alone to bear,
For we are held with loving care.

All are alike unto God,
This is the iron rod.
He suffered for everyone,
None were forgotten by God's Son.

One family the human race,
We each have a cherished place.
Not more or less but one,
We are each loved by God’s Son.

How can we hold it all?
We are saved from an endless fall.
No praises can match his gift,
For he alone healed sins rift.

He suffered agony beyond compare,
That all might freely share.
His offering calls us to love,
To see equality is to see God above.

Not more or less, we are one,
Loved and rescued by God's holy Son.
For in Christ we are made free,
He has rescued both you and me!

"Do ye not suppose that such things are abominable unto him who created all flesh? And the one being is as precious in his sight as the other. And all flesh is of the dust; and for the selfsame end hath he created them, that they should keep his commandments and glorify him forever." Jacob 2:21

"And he inviteth them all to come unto him and partake of his goodness; and he denieth none that come unto him, black and white, bond and free, male and female; and he remembereth the heathen; and all are alike unto God, both Jew and Gentile." 2 Nephi 26:33

Upward

Upward she goes from me,
Upward to all she'll be.
Upward leaving pain behind,
Upward to the joy she'll find.
Upward she soars raised by grace,
Upward to the beauty of her place.
Upward she moves her soul so bright,
Upward toward God's pure light.
Upward to the glory of life above,
Upward toward her home and love!
