Happy Feet

One little penguin dancing with very happy feet,

She moved to joys melody and loved its steady beat.

Another came to join her and both loved their song,

Soon more little penguins came and found where they belong.

Ten, then hundreds, then thousands dancing with light,

Their feet moving with gratitude knowing all was right!

Smiling up to heaven they sent out a grateful song,

We love our happy feet! We love where we belong!

Bridge of Love

We construct all we are and ever will be with love,

We construct the joy of unity as we stand with God above.

Across the gulf of misery hurt and despair,

We build a bridge of love by being kind and fair.

Christ is our foundation and we construct His way,

We raise a bridge of hope as we live with love each day.

High above envy, high above all fear,

We stand over our enemy and feel our Savior near.

The power of our structure is the grace of our dear King,

We walk above the mists of darkness to the beauty He will bring.

Moving ever upward our bridge built by grace,

We see the Master architect who died to bring our place.

Our footsteps reaching heaven our light shining clear,

We smile and step off the bridge that brought us safely here.

Looking back we see the power of our King,

With tears of joy and relief we join His choir and sing!

Hallelujah, hallelujah to our Master builder and friend,

Hallelujah, hallelujah our joy will never end!

"Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, was the supreme architect and builder of bridges for you, for me, for all mankind. He has built the bridges over which we must cross if we are to reach our heavenly home."Thomas S.Monson

"My hero, my father."  I love Erik's words about his father.  I have had many Father like examples that have helped me learn and find the strength I need to endure faithfully.  One of those great heros is Russell M. Nelson.  Regarding joy he said, "Joy is a gift for the faithful. It is the gift that comes from intentionally trying to live a righteous life, as taught by Jesus Christ."

Joy

Joy is not a treasure for only a select few,

Joy is the gift reserved for the faithful and true.

Joy is found by those who heed the Masters call,

Joy is found in Christ, who saved us from our fall.

Joy is the dance of charity, the song of purest light,

Joy is the gift we find and keep by doing what is right.

Joy is not to have more, but to share all that you receive,

Joy is the giving of your life, it is living what you believe.

Joy is there for every child who will turn to see,

Joy is to depart from sin, it is choosing to be free.

Joy is the dance of freedom the yielding of your heart,

Joy is when you take God’s hand and choose the better part!

Many

Many penguins that work as one,

Will open the way to love and fun.

Many voices singing with love,

Will invite the blessings of God above.

Many happy feet that unite will see,

The joy of heaven and what can be.

Many little birds who choose to share,

Will find that life is more than fair.

Many happy feet united and strong,

Will live with joy where they belong!

I love that this cute movie ends with everyone working together to help free the trapped penguins.  This story of unity and love bringing freedom is beautiful.  I know that as we minister we can make a difference and help lift others who cant get up without us.  We can be heros and do so much good ecspecially if we unite and seek to be of one heart and one mind.  The Savior taught, "if ye are not one, ye are not mine."  This scripture is tied to His first and second great commandments, "Thou shalt love the Lord your God with all your might, mind and strength and your neighbor as yourself."  None of us are perfect we all struggle through difficult days but I know as we reach for light, repent and continue to strive we can become one.

The Tippy Top

At the tippy top of Timp I felt heaven near,
At the tippy top of Timp I dismissed every fear.
At the tippy top of Timp my sisters and I stood,
At the tippy top of Timp I knew that God is good.

More than just one smile, more than just one song,
At the tippy top of Timp, I felt where we belong.
Together in unity we dance, sing and play,
I felt close to heaven as I stood high today!

Tomorrow my feet will be lower, but still,
I will remember the mountain and my Father’s will.
The top and its beauty I will hold within me,
I will keep every high place and stay true and free!
