Today was a beautiful and sacred day for me. It was five years ago today that I began the beautiful journey of returning to my Savior Jesus Christ. This anniversary of beginning to follow my Savior with full purpose of heart is everything to me. I am grateful for my Heavenly King who paid the price of my sins and carried all of my weaknesses and infirmities that He could rescue and bring me back through His grace. I rejoice in the Holy One of Israel who has set me free! I am so grateful for the miracle of repenting and finding peace through Jesus Christ! I feel so much joy because of my Savior! I thank my dear Heavenly Father for sending his only begotten and perfect son to rescue each repentant child. Brothers and sisters we each become a part of the miracle of our King when we repent and follow Him. I rejoice in that sacred privilege! I rejoice in the miracle of Jesus Christ!

I am grateful for our dear prophet Russell M. Nelson, he inspires me and helps me reach for the celestial kingdom. I look up to him and take his counsel as though it was the Savior himself talking to me. I testify that he is a true prophet called of God and he is the Lords mouth peace. His words are the words of Jesus Christ! How sacred and wonderful it is to follow the light of the world by following his true prophet Russell M. Nelson. I send my deepest love and gratitude to our dear prophet for this sacred witness of Jesus Christ. This testimony will ever be cherished by me. I am looking forward to sharing it again for Christmas!

He Was Born

He was born to save and set free,

He was born to find and rescue me.

He was born to cleanse and make me new,

He was born that I could become true.

He was born to take away my stain,

He was born to swallow up my pain.

He was born that I could live by grace,

He was born to win my eternal place.

He was born to bring my dreams to me,

He was born that I could walk free,

He was born to light the way for all,

He was born to save us from our fall.

He was born in love a gift to man,

He was born our God the Great I am.

He was born and now I see the way,

He was born to light each day.

O Holy King my friend and Savior dear,

O Holy with joy I hold you near.

O Holy King you lived that I would too,

O Holy King my life is found in you!

I praise and adore the one who held us all,

I praise and adore He who saved us from our fall.

I praise the God of heaven as I view what can be,

I praise and adore the one who set me free!

From the Dust

My voice from the dust a warning, my life to be a light,

My words engraven upon God’s plates shining clear and bright.

My mission to find you as you face the storm of life,

My mission to strengthen you in a world of sin and strife.

I reach from the dust my brother, I call you to be more,

I reach to reveal the way that your foundation may be sure.

I witness of Jesus Christ born to set men free,

I witness with all I am that you may come to see.

From the dust my light still shining for my Heavenly King,

From the dust I show the one who lived to take away deaths sting.

Engraven in my heart the truth I bring to thee,

I write upon these holy plates that you may come to see.

O man will you hearken to the one who suffered for you?

O man will you embrace your Savior for he can make you new?

O man will you choose light or will you wander in the dark?

O man will you find joy or a place grim and stark?

One day you will see me, for we will stand face to face,

My King will then reveal to you that my words held heavens grace.

My voice from the dust was His voice crying out with care,

My words engraven were the truth He called me to share.

May you hearken my brother as I call for you with love,

May you accept His light and way and shine with me above.

That together we may rejoice in the peace of our dear King,

That together by His grace we may live and sing!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, to the holy one so dear,

Hallelujah, hallelujah our hearts are filled with cheer!

We live by His power, we are brought forth to joy,

Our King has brought peace that none can destroy!

This poem was inspired by Nephis words found in 2 Nephi chapter 33.  I am so grateful to hear his voice and to follow his sacred witness of truth.  It is so beautiful to feel this holy prophet reaching out to me in my day.  His example and testimony have added to who I am and how I stand and fight!  I am so very grateful for his sacrifice and diligence in recording his words in the Book of Mormon.  I am blessed by all he did to build the kingdom of God upon the earth!

2 Nephi 33:10-15

10 And now, my beloved brethren, and also Jew, and all ye ends of the earth, hearken unto these words and believe in Christ; and if ye believe not in these words believe in Christ. And if ye shall believe in Christ ye will believe in these words, for they are the words of Christ, and he hath given them unto me; and they teach all men that they should do good.

11 And if they are not the words of Christ, judge ye—for Christ will show unto you, with power and great glory, that they are his words, at the last day; and you and I shall stand face to face before his bar; and ye shall know that I have been commanded of him to write these things, notwithstanding my weakness.

12 And I pray the Father in the name of Christ that many of us, if not all, may be saved in his kingdom at that great and last day.

13 And now, my beloved brethren, all those who are of the house of Israel, and all ye ends of the earth, I speak unto you as the voice of one crying from the dust: Farewell until that great day shall come.

14 And you that will not partake of the goodness of God, and respect the words of the Jews, and also my words, and the words which shall proceed forth out of the mouth of the Lamb of God, behold, I bid you an everlasting farewell, for these words shall condemn you at the last day.

15 For what I seal on earth, shall be brought against you at the judgment bar; for thus hath the Lord commanded me, and I must obey. Amen.

This video was produced by my daughter Micah! I am so grateful for her consecrated life. Her devotion to Jesus Christ is inspiring!

Fighting With Grace

A monster becomes nothing when you are held by grace,
A monster is very small when you know your true place.
The roaring of a demon is hardly worth a glance,
He comes at you with ill intent but doesn't stand a chance.

The darts he sends fall from you as your armor withstands his try,
He is to you a little thing, the Father of a lie.
His mists and paths of sin are abhorrent to your soul,
His efforts to mislead you are a fruitless goal.

The pits he digs to ensnare you stay empty as you go,
He watches as you walk away toward your worthy goal.
Your eyes upon your Savior you smile and feel light,
The path of salvation is beautiful and bright!

Straight and narrow one way to victory,
You journey past hell and dark feeling light and free.
Larger than every demon and dart you will ever face,
Is your King and Redeemer who leads you to your place.

The Strength to Fight

In the fight for eternal life, your word was in me,

When the enemy struck I saw what would be.

The darts like fire, my clarity found,

The strength of my fight was sure steady ground.

I called out with power, your light shining clear,

I struck down my foe as I held you near.

The truth living in me was my victory,

My vision the words you placed in me.

Again he conspired to take me with glee,

He set pits and snares, but I remained free.

My shield held close, my sword held tight,

I walked past my foes holding God’s light.

The battle raged on and I kept holding fast,

My love for your light was a power that would last.

Pushing and moving past every lie,

I looked up to you, my God in the sky.

A vision of light, my strength sure and true,

I fought by your grace and found peace in you.

A warrior for truth, my victory you brought,

My strength was the power of all that you taught.

As I finished my battle and ascended I found,

The mighty and great ones, who revealed heavens ground.

The strength of my soul, their light living on,

I finished the fight and joined in their song!

Hallelujah, hallelujah, to the holy one so dear,

Hallelujah, hallelujah our hearts are filled with cheer!

We live by His power, we are brought forth to joy,

Our King has brought peace that none can destroy!

Ephesians 2:4-5

"But God, who is rich in mercy, for his great love wherewith he loved us. Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with Christ, (by grace ye are saved;)"
