Loves Seed

The seed of love God placed in me,

He whispered, it can become a tree.

I placed it close within my heart,

And sought to nourish my tiny start.

Within my thoughts I began,

To see another, and make a plan.

Not me but her I thought and went,

I gave my love, my time well spent.

The start became a little bloom,

The love within dispelled my gloom.

Blue skies and rainbows I thought to bring,

I stopped and chose to sweetly sing.

The way to love I found in thee,

And so my bloom became a tree.

I sought a little at a time,

To give and be, to sweetly shine.

Inch by inch and day by day,

I grew with love as I bent to pray.

I felt the pain of loneliness,

You said look up and seek to bless.

And so I went again to see,

Who was waiting for love from me.

I forgot myself and grew in light,

My leaves and branches shining bright.

Seasons of life came and went,

My love for you was always sent.

And so at last I stood with you,

The tree within, the place I knew.

My daughter behold the fruit you bring,

Your love has made the angels sing.

The more you gave the greater you grew,

You return at last a daughter true.

I joy in all that we have known,

Behold my plan, the seed has grown.

I call you forever my faithful tree,

Come forth my daughter and rest with me
