Way up in the sky,

The sun is shining,

The waters are dancing,

And the winds are chiming,

Out in this world,

Authors are writing,

Singers are singing,

And poets are rhyming,

Everything has a course,

A rhythm,

A flow,

And everything has its own way to go.

Written by Miranda

Miranda was devoted to scripture study. Throughout her treatments for Leukemia she set a standard of daily study and held it. During her time in hospital she completed the book of Isaiah and we held an Isaiah party! The nurses were blessed by her example of devotion and faith. Her influence on those around her was beautiful to see!!!

Her Way

No wasted time on empty greed,

Instead with love I’ll fill a need.

No idle words or lies in me,

Instead with love I’ll speak of thee.

No eyes of envy to blind my soul,

Instead with care I’ll seek my goal.

No cruel intent to hold me down,

Instead with faith I’ll seek a crown.

No burden sent will bind my way,

Instead with hope I’ll bend and pray.

No dart to take my God from me,

Instead a shield of light will be!

No doubt of the only way,

Instead His name with faith I’ll say!

Yes Jesus is the Son of God!

My strength, my all, the iron rod!

Her way was to lovingly serve even as she walked through her furnace of affliction. I am so grateful for Miranda and her giving nature. She loved taking her origami bucket with her to the hospital. She was always giving out little animals to the children. Even the nurses and staff received origami pins from Miranda! What an angel! I love this beautiful precious daughter of God! I am honored that God sent her to me. I stand forever grateful for the blessing of bringing her into the world. I hope to ever be like my sweet Miranda. She gave with a kind heart and scattered sunshine everywhere she went! I am proud of who she was, who she is and who she will become! Happy birthday Miranda! We love you and we miss you our little dot!!!:):):) xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Often the parents in clinic would thank me for Miranda and the love she showed to their child. Her hands reaching out were the hands of her Savior. There were opportunities right in her way and she took them. Hers was a life well lived, her devotion and faith shown until the very end!

Homeward Bound

I’m homeward bound my daughter, soon I will fly,
To the peace of sweet heaven, to our home in the sky!
My soul moving upward by the power of the Son,
I will land by His grace in my heavenly home.
Your face before me, the warmth of your love,
True joy will fill me as we stand above!

I recently completed my goal to memorize The Family A Proclamation To The World!  When I completed that meaningful experience I wrote three poems.  I will share them all today.  I am grateful for the promise of my loving Heavenly Father that I can be with Miranda eternally if I keep my covenants and endure to the end.  I look ahead with eyes full of hope and joy because I see the strenghth of my Heavenly King.  I am so grateful for the atonement of Jesus Christ, it is he that places my family within my arms.  It is He that paid the price of my sins and washed me clean.  My eternal joy with my family is a sacred gift He gives me!  I offer my gratitude to Jesus Christ today as I celebrate the birth of my daughter and sister Miranda!

God’s Family

I organize my children into families divine,

That they may have joy and learn to love and shine!

A man and a woman in love are sealed and bound,

Their union a foundation sacred, sure and sound.

Faithfully they keep their covenants with care,

United as one, with true love they share.

Fathers are to preside, protect and show the way,

Always being kind in what they do and say.

Mothers are to nurture with a gentle loving hand,

To guide their children forth and help them learn to stand.

Happiness is found by following God’s holy Son,

Every Child must learn, that being good is fun!

A home should be filled with service and love,

Lots of family prayers with faith sent above!

Eternal and sacred your family is divine,

Guard and keep it, and help it to shine.

For one day you will stand accountable before me,

May a family kept safe, be the truth that I see!

When I Return

I proclaim my way, a light I send,

Yet you seek to twist and bend.

Broken hearts, I hear their cry,

I see the men who hurt and lie.

Abuse, neglect and apathy,

A world that won’t come unto me.

Stubborn pride, another way,

Not to follow what I say.

Abortion, gay marriage, unchastity,

This people have gone far from me.

A government that defies my way,

A nation who has gone astray.

My promised land of liberty,

I will reclaim and set free.

A new world of light I’ll bring,

With my saints in peace we'll sing!

Those little ones who had less,

Will see that God doth kindly bless.

True families with a mom and dad,

No more tears, no more sad.

A woman once betrayed in scorn,

Will be held dear, no more to morn.

Their tears I’ll dry at that great day,

When I return and light the way!

"And it came to pass that he rent his coat; and he took a piece thereof, and wrote upon it—In memory of our God, our religion, and freedom, and our peace, our wives, and our children—and he fastened it upon the end of a pole." Alma 46:12

This is our family flag. I too like Moroni feel the need to proclaim my beliefs in a world that has turned in great number from their God and King. Breana was responsible for creating the emblem. The sun symbolizes the light of Christ, and the laurel wreath symbolizes victory.
The eagle represents the Savior and the healing He brings to His people. When designing the flag Breana referenced 2 Nephi 25:13 which reads, "Behold, they will crucify him; and after he is laid in a sepulchre for the space of three days he shall rise from the dead, with healing in his wings; and all those who shall believe on his name shall be saved in the kingdom of God. Wherefore, my soul delighteth to prophesy concerning him, for I have seen his day, and my heart doth magnify his holy name."

The shield represents the justice the Savior will bring when He returns at the millennial day. Breana chose I Nephi 21:25 to accompany the symbolism of the shield; "But thus saith the Lord, even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered; for I will contend with him that contendeth with thee, and I will save thy children."

The three stars on the flag represent the three members of the God head: Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Ghost. The backdrop of the flag is The Living Christ: The Testimony of The Apostles, The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints. The truth of the flag we wave today, will show forth to the entire world at the millennial day. For then every knee will bend and every tongue confess that Jesus is the Christ.

The Family A Proclamation To The World will be the standard that governs God’s people during the millennium. In a talk given by L. Tom Perry in April of 2015 he said, “We also believe that strong traditional families are not only the basic units of a stable society, a stable economy, and a stable culture of values—but that they are also the basic units of eternity and of the kingdom and government of God. We believe that the organization and government of heaven will be built around families and extended families.”

We raise our flag today and bear testimony that these two sacred documents are the word of God to His people. Jesus is the Living Christ, the immortal Son of God. The family is central to the Creators plan for the eternal destiny of His children. I am grateful that I took time to memorize these sacred documents they live in my heart now and are an important part of me. I rejoice in the government of my Savior Jesus Christ, His way is the path I choose now and forever! I love my Redeemer, He is my rock and upon His truth I will ever build!

Truths Banner

The banner we wave, the gift we keep,
The love we show abiding and deep.
The name of our King written with care,
Showing with power in all we share.
The fight we give as we stand forth,
The cost paid that shows our worth.
The glorious day when we are free,
Our beloved King we wait for thee!

This was one of Miranda's favorite songs, it was sung at her funeral. We share it today with joy and love for our beloved Redeemer who has conquered death and hell. We praise the name of Jesus Christ and rejoice in His great atoning sacrifice! I look forward to the promised blessing of seeing Miranda again in her body. I will with joy at that day embrace her and look into my heart and find the Redeemer of Israel, my beloved friend and King! Glory be to the Father for the matchless gift of His divine Son!
