His Flock

As a shepherd divideth his sheep, so shall our Mighty King,
Placing His flock on His right, for His love they chose to bring.
Turning to the left, He we will say, depart ye cursed from me,
You’re bound by what you gave and what you chose to see.

Your actions toward the least reveal your heart,
All eternity is held by what you did impart.
You added to the suffering of a brother in need,
You heaped upon another the burden of your greed.

You placed a snare and rejoiced as another fell,
Your iniquity has brought you to the burning fires of hell.
You broke my holy laws and would not see the way,
Blindness was your choice, so you will not abide this day.

The cunning of the enemy was the voice you knew,
Now I cast you out for being rebellious and untrue.
Everlasting punishment, spiritual death and pain,
You will have less than could have been your gain.

Turning to the right with joy He shall declare,
Come my blessed saints to the place I have prepared!
For when I was lost you showed me the way,
You gave all you had as you journeyed each day.

The hungry you fed, the sad you did cheer,
The sick and the weary, you always held near.
My holy prophets you followed with care,
And now I rejoice for all we can share!

My sons and my daughters, through me you shall stay,
Your choice to follow is the joy of this day!
Come ye blessed of the Father and with me abide,
Forever you’ll stand, my sheep by my side.

Empty Pages

Once a great King gave a women a gift of paper and pen,
With a commandment to write of her days among men.
He charged her to be faithful and live as she should,
To follow his way and be loving and good.

His gift felt exciting and she was determined to share all,
But soon she was distracted by the world’s enticing call.
So her paper and pen sat and collected dust,
While she explored and ignored her Kings trust.

Years came and went and she forgot of the gift,
For from her King she had chosen to drift.
At last he returned to receive her report,
Sadly her recount was embarrassingly short.

I was busy she said, there was so much to do,
I just couldn’t find time to be faithful and true.
Nodding he understood, then asked for her pages,
Explaining that now he would pay her, her wages.

Handing him her paper she asked, what did I earn?
Your payment is the lesson that you chose to learn.
For now the time has passed for you to record,
You keep what you gave every single word.

But I recorded nothing she said, confusion in her voice,
Yes, and so forever you will retain your choice.
Your place in my kingdom was yours to decide,
Your record is the truth that you cannot hide.

Forever I will love you but with me you cannot stay,
For diligence and obedience are the price one must pay.
Leaving her pages and her King behind,
This woman walked forward to the truth she did find.

Be careful as you journey on through the land,
Remember your King and heed His command.
For you like this woman will someday return,
And be proven by what you chose to learn.

"The truth is that “not yet” usually means “never.” Trying to run away from the responsibility to decide about Christ is childish. Pilate sought to refuse responsibility for deciding about Christ, but Pilate’s hands were never dirtier than just after he had washed them." Neal A. Maxwell

Brothers and sisters putting off committing to Christ is the strategy of the Satan. He wants us to delay until it is to late. He wants to distract us and keep us busy with everything but the saving power of our beloved King Jesus Christ. To write on our pages is to repent, be baptized, and follow our King. To fill our pages is to witness of truth and lift our fellow men. Anything less than writing yourself into His kingdom is the equivalent of nothing. Lets begin writing today! Lets turn from the world and to our King! Lets follow the Mighty One of Israel! I testify that true happiness is found as we fill our pages with the truth of Christ! May we each do so I pray!

This is one of my favorite songs and videos! I love watching her write the image of Christ as she dances. So beautiful! We are here to find our Savior. He atoned for our sins so that we could repent and be cleansed. He is the way to life eternal. But we have to choose Him, we have to write His name in our hearts. I testify that all eternity is on the line. I pray each of us will embrace the gift of redemption through Jesus Christ and write the miracle of forgiveness on the pages we have been given.

Book of Mormon, Alma 42:
27 Therefore, O my son, whosoever will come may come and partake of the waters of life freely; and whosoever will not come the same is not compelled to come; but in the last day it shall be restored unto him according to his deeds.
28 If he has desired to do evil, and has not repented in his days, behold, evil shall be done unto him, according to the restoration of God.
29 And now, my son, I desire that ye should let these things trouble you no more, and only let your sins trouble you, with that trouble which shall bring you down unto repentance.
30 O my son, I desire that ye should deny the justice of God no more. Do not endeavor to excuse yourself in the least point because of your sins, by denying the justice of God; but do you let the justice of God, and his mercy, and his long-suffering have full sway in your heart; and let it bring you down to the dust in humility.
