Your Right

Your right to choose the way you go,
The truth you keep, the love you know.
Your right to find and hold His light,
To nurture it and make it bright.
Your right to repent and earn a place,
Won by Christ and found through grace.
Your right to follow and see the way,
To bring His truth in all you say.
Your right to covenant and take His name,
To be washed clean free from shame.
Your right to choose to endure with love,
To walk with joy toward God above!

Thinking

Thinking to keep your family by defying God above,
Is like thinking hatred is the way that we give love.
Thinking you can sin and still gain a place,
Is like wanting a ribbon for not running a race.
Thinking to claim a mansion by being untrue,
Is like asking for a free pass on all you chose to do.
Thinking to stand with God through rebellion and sin,
Is like thinking wickedness is the pathway to a win.
Disturbed and foolish is the mind that won't see,
Only the true and sanctified will stand with me.
I am Alpha and Omega the beginning and the end,
If you stand my enemy I will not call you friend.

Sometimes we look back at moments in history and say, "what were they thinking?" How could pharaoh be warned and see so many prophesies fulfilled and still defy God? The answer is in the lyrcis of the song, "Then let my heart be hardened, and never mind how high the cost may grow. This will still be so, I will never let your people go." When we choose to harden our hearts we are choosing the justice of God instead of the mercy that we could have if we softened our heart and repented. We have the power to change everything with the use of our agency, and ultimately we are going to have all eternity to ponder in sorrow or with joy the way we chose to exercise it. I hope and pray that we will pursue the path of our Savior, that we will hold fast to His holy light. I testify that all of eternity, our future happiness, our families and our joy rest upon our use of the precious gift of agency. I rejoice in my beloved Redeemer and am filled with hope because I have repented and turned to Him. I am grateful for my membership in His true church restored upon the earth, even The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints. I am thankful for the privilege and blessing of taking His name upon myself as I entered the waters of baptism. I will strive with all I am to carry my King and Savior safe within my heart, until at last I reach my heavenly home.

Justice is what follows God's warnings. So it was with pharaoh and so it will be for each of us. The warnings given by the prophets and apostles will be fulfilled. Will we be true to our God? Will we repent and serve our King? I testify that only the sanctified who follow Jesus Christ will remain in the day of vengeance and wrath that will soon come upon the earth.

Will We?

Will we fear God now, or wait to face his power?
Will we kneel today, or in that final hour?
Will we repent before or after He reigns?
Will we choose happiness or sorrows pains?
Will we pursue peace or instead regret?
Will we remember or choose to forget?
Will we be free or in prison wait?
Will we see now or when it's too late?

Doctrine and Covenants 29: 9-11 "For the hour is nigh and the day soon at hand when the earth is ripe; and all the proud and they that do wickedly shall be as stubble; and I will burn them up, saith the Lord of Hosts, that wickedness shall not be upon the earth; For the hour is nigh, and that which was spoken by mine apostles must be fulfilled; for as they spoke so shall it come to pass; For I will reveal myself from heaven with power and great glory, with all the hosts thereof, and dwell in righteousness with men on earth a thousand years, and the wicked shall not stand."

Free Forever to Act for Themselves; the title says it all. We are free brothers and sisters. We have the precious gift of agency. Our use of this gift reveals our character and worthiness to our God above. I hope we will ponder the words in this amazing talk given by D. Todd Christofferson, and consider how we are using our agency. Today is a good day to change our direction and head toward joy! Today is a good day to repent and pursue true happiness! I hope each of us will do so!:)

Sometimes we learn by hearing a story and poem that reminds us of what not to do. D. Todd Christofferson inspired such a poem today! Thanks again to this wonderful apostle of God! He brought a smile to my face!:)

Drive On

Drive on toward my misery, yes I’d like to go,
Drive on toward self-pity, for this I want to know.
Drive on toward mediocrity I will not reach for more,
Drive on toward a place for those who won’t endure.
Drive on toward a millennial day that I will not keep,
Drive on toward my prison, a place to mourn and weep.
Drive on toward the justice that I will have to face,
Drive on toward the consequence of refusing my God’s grace.
