The Holy One of Israel
The Holy One of Israel, The only begotten Son of God,
The way, the truth, the foundation, you are the iron rod.
Lord of the universe, our Advocate and friend,
You offered yourself willingly, that our joy wouldn’t end.
Sacred man of holiness, the chosen Son of man,
Only you could save your people and fulfill the Fathers plan.
The Lord of Glory, our King who reigns on high,
Your power and dominion no man can deny!
Alpha and Omega, your majesty divine,
The strength to your people, your light doth ever shine!
God’s only begotten Son, you walked with perfect care,
Our Messiah our Deliverer, your love you chose to share!
Beloved dear Jehovah who set Israel free,
Then humbly came to earth, that glory they could see.
Holy dear Redeemer you bent beneath God’s will,
Swallowing death and pain, all suffering you still.
The God of our Father you walked toward Calvary,
Each step held our place, through you we are set free.
Son of the Highest, you hung upon the tree,
Our Judge, our Savior, you died to set us free!
Lord God, the great I Am, I behold your sacrifice,
And marvel at the sacred gift, our King who paid the price.
Beloved Son of God, our Advocate and friend,
Your victory we praise, your love doth have no end!

This poem was written using my notes from the Russell M. Nelson challenge which I am still working on. This challenge has been a beautiful journey of worshiping my Savior more fully. I have been studying the Savior and every scripture found in the topical guide under the name Jesus Christ. I am thankful for my beloved King and Savior. He held me safe in Gethsemane and carried me to Golgotha. He is holding me safe now as He pores out His grace upon me daily. When I look into eternity I see the King of Kings in every smile, in every blessing, in every moment. He kept those moments when He suffered and atoned for my sins. This sacred and very personal gift was done for me individually but also for every child of God who has lived upon the earth. Beyond my ability to comprehend is the burden of love he bore in the Garden of Gethsemane. He made eternal life possible for each of us, if we will repent and follow Him. He truly gave all for us, the scriptures say, "he pored his soul out unto death." I pray we will hold that sacred offering close to our hearts and cherish it. I pray we will repent and follow our greatest friend, our beloved Savior. The words of the bible run through my mind, "greater love hath no man than this, than he lay down his life for a friend." May we accept our Heavenly King, our truest friend I pray. I testify that everything is held by our decision to embrace and follow God's Son. All of eternity is before us, let us not look back with regret and see that we refused His sacred gift. Let us embrace Him now and forever, for only then are we spared the suffering of our own sins, only then are we ransomed and brought back to heaven. Only then are we lifted by Him to eternal happiness purchased by His holy blood. I offer my testimony that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is the great I Am, He is the way, the truth, the life and no man cometh unto the Father but by Him. I love Him and I am held forever by His love and sacrifice. May we ponder and rejoice in our Heavenly Father this Father's Day as we rejoice in His Son. May we see his sacrifice as a Father and rejoice in his love for us! May we show our gratitude for all He has done in preparing a way for our joy, by following that way more diligently. May we bring our broken hearts to the altar and offer our time and love as well. May our love for our Heavenly Father shine brightly for Him to see. We can bring a smile to His face brothers and sisters! I hope each of us will this Father's Day and always!:)
