His Day

Not a day to hunt for game, not a day to swim,
Not a day for lifting weights and running at the gym.
Not a day to clean, sweep and mop your floor,
This is His holy day meant for so much more.
A day to still your busy hands and open your aching heart,
A day to renew yourself to God and make a brand new start.
A day to learn and grow and change as you explore the Masters way,
A day to honor all He gave as earnestly you pray.
Six days God has given for us to live and run,
The Seventh day is not our own; for we give to the Son.
We turn to Him with broken heart and partake of the holy bread,
We promise anew to change our heart and live as He has said,
To drink the cup of sacrifice that takes away our stain,
To think of Him who paid the price for all that we can gain.
May we honor the Sabbath day and turn with true intent,
As we enter His holy house and partake of His sacrament.
May we never turn from Christ and make His day our own,
For in the way we worship; our true love will be shown.
Six days for our work, six days to have fun,
The Sabbath is a hallowed day we give back to the Son!

Reverence

This is a beautiful reminder of how we can be more reverent. How special to see God's ordained servants discuss reverence. I loved the insights shared! So awesome!:)

Reverence

Reverence is to honor your Savior and King,
To learn of Him with gladness and praises to Him sing.
Reverence calls for caution in the words we choose to say,
If you spoke it in God’s presence would he want to stay?
In His house our demeanor should invite the spirit near,
Our comments and suggestions should always lift and cheer.
Our dress should be modest as we enter His house to pray,
Our voice should be a whisper on the Holy Sabbath day.
For the Sabbath to be a delight we must seek to make it so,
As we counsel together in reverence, we will learn and grow.
This day that God has given us to honor His holy Son,
Is a day of learning and reverence to remember all He won.
May we not just attend church but come with true intent,
That on the Sabbath day our time will be well spent.

That They Do Always Remember HIm

Beloved Savior

In the premortal world you offered your life for mine,
Great Jehovah my Redeemer your love does ever shine.
You stand between me and destruction and halt my endless pain,
You deliver me from my transgressions and wash away my stain.
Beloved Savior I will never forgot what you have done,
Your sacrifice a holy offering that my soul may be won.
May I stand as I once did with my dearest Heavenly King,
May my heart rejoice in gladness and praises to thee sing.
May each moment of my day reflect my Savior true,
May I ever build your kingdom and do as you would do.
May I never forget your sacrifice, for you paid the price of sin,
May I cherish my dearest Redeemer, who gave all that I might win!
