General conference was so beautiful; I loved hearing this talk given by Dieter F. Uchtdorf! In his message he posed a question to all, "I invite each of us to consider this question. What shall we give in return for the flood of light and truth God has poured out upon us?" He went on to share the answer; he said, " Let us in word and in deed share with our fellowmen the amazing and awe-inspiring message of God’s plan of happiness. May our motive be our love for God and for His children, for they are our brothers and sisters. This is the beginning of what we can do in return for so much." This is my answer for today brothers and sisters. It comes from my heart and is given with love!:)
My Father’s Plan
Once I walked with Elohim in the royal courts of high,
My spirit was with my Father as we stood upon the sky.
He spoke to me of the plan of happiness of all that I could gain,
A path of birth, of trial, of promise, a path that would hold pain.
To be like Him required I leave my heavenly home above,
I would forget the joy we shared and the feeling of His love.
This step into mortality could bring me closer to Him,
If I proved worthy, and through Christ overcame my sin.
He explained that I would fail at times; without my Redeemer I would be lost,
But He would send His perfect Son, who would pay the heavy cost.
I could not be saved in my sin, but with true repentance made new;
Born again a child of Christ, obedient, kind and true!
Through priesthood ordinances I would prepare to see Him again,
A covenant daughter made new in Christ, I could overcome and win!
Along the path of mortality He would light my way with care,
Through His prophets and apostles he would strengthen, lift, and cheer!
Diamonds of light could be mine, if I would see and hold them each day,
The scriptures, the temple, the Holy Ghost, the strength gained as I pray.
If I pressed forward and endured to the end, I could gain eternal life,
The choice was mine, for many He said would choose sin and strife.
Not all would regain His presence, some would embrace the dark,
The outcome of disobedience would be painful, grim and stark.
When I reached my journeys end, I would die and return above,
The place I await the resurrection, would be decided by my love.
Spirit prison or paradise it was up to me to choose,
You have the power; you decide what you win or lose.
At the millennial day my Holy Son will return,
The righteous with Him in the clouds, the wicked He will burn.
A thousand years He will rule and reign with those who turned to Him,
The wicked will stay in spirit prison, bound by their choice of sin.
The lion and the lamb together, your children running free,
My daughter think of all you can hold throughout eternity!
I smiled as I imagined such beauty found through my dear Christ,
I promise Father I will be true and return to paradise.
Looking into my hopeful face my Father shared a grin,
You’re noble and strong my daughter, through Christ you can win!
