Precious Daughter

For the precious gift of holding you, I thank my God above,
That you were given into my care to treasure and to love.
You were a light that shown with hope, a smile on a darkened day,
You, my sister and daughter, showed me a better way.

I am forever changed because I held you near,
My heart is new and I am determined to keep my daughter so dear,
As you journey on without me and stand with your Savior above,
May I endure this time without you and always keep your love.

There is but one path that leads to you I know,
May I keep my feet upon it and follow your celestial glow.
Precious daughter sent from God, you’re a part of me so dear,
Our separation cannot take the love I hold right here.

I hope to often make you smile as I follow my Savior so true,
May you look upon your mother and see that I love you.
At last when all my work is done and I hold you once again,
May all the longing and hurt I’ve suffered be replaced with a happy grin!

May my Savior place you in my arms once more I pray,
To treasure and love in a world of peace, on a bright and perfect day!
There we will continue what we began together here,
There we will know perfect love in a world bright and clear!

A Mother's Love!

Eternal Love!

I am grateful for this wonderful talk given by Russell M. Nelson. I am grateful for his inspiring words that remind us that our journey is eternal. Death may be a necessary step along our path but it isn't the last step; because of our Savior Jesus Christ many more steps will follow! We can live forever with our families! Russell M. Nelson said, "We need not look upon death as an enemy. With full understanding and preparation, faith supplants fear. Hope displaces despair. The Lord said, “Fear not even unto death; for in this world your joy is not full, but in me your joy is full.” (D&C 101:36.) He bestowed this gift: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” I testify that as we endure the heartbreaking separation that death brings we can feel peace and joy. I testify that because of our Savior Jesus Christ we will live again! I am grateful for the peace and joy the gospel of Jesus Christ brings me! I walk with faith and hope because I know that my Redeemer lives!
